Jay z physically attacked by beyonce's sister video

A New York City hotel expressed shock on Monday that security camera footage of a fight in an elevator, apparently involving the rapper Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles, ended up being posted on a celebrity website. The video was published online on Monday by the California-based news outlet TMZ, which claimed the footage, taken from the inside of an elevator in Manhattan’s Standard hotel, showed an altercation between the pair as they were leaving a party there last week. It was not known how TMZ obtained the material, which appeared to be recorded on a camera as it was played back on a security monitor.Jay Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce's sister Solange ... who was wildly kicking and swinging at him inside an elevator ... and the attack was captured on surveillance video ... obtained by TMZ. According to our sources, it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC. In the video ... Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator ... and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack. A large man -- who appears to be a bodyguard -- attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times. At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her. Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved. And this is interesting. When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor -- mid fight -- presumably to keep the fight private.

Conchita Wurst from Austria wins Eurovision 2014

Austria has won this year's Eurovision Song Contest with Rise Like a Phoenix, sung by bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst. The 25-year-old performer, whose real name is Tom Neuwirth, took the Eurovision crown in Copenhagen despite initial expectations that the eye-catching performance would be too controversial in socially conservative countries. "We are unity, and we are unstoppable," she said after winning the glitzy competition with 290 points compared with 238 points for runner-up the Netherlands, in what Eurovision fans had anticipated would be a more closely fought race. So Conchita Wurst came out on top and Molly Smitten-Downes didn't win. It was inevitable really, wasn't it? But it was tense until the closing stages (for Austria if not for the UK) on a thoroughly epic night of Eurovision brilliance. There were plenty of memorable moments from Poland's raunchy routine as they tried to sex up their Eurovision entry, hamster wheels, an appearance from Gina G and ladders several storeys high. Next year it will be Austria's turn to host the biggest Eurovision party so keep up with all the Eurovision news and reaction on our dedicated page - or read on to see how the night unfolded...Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with a score of 290 after a grandiose James Bond-theme-like ballad, Rise Like a Phoenix, before a TV audience of around 180 million people in 45 countries. UK hopeful Molly Smitten-Downes came in seventeenth place with a score of just 40 with her song Children Of The Universe. 'This is dedicated to everyone who believes in a future of peace and freedom,' a tearful Conchita said as she accepted the trophy from Denmark's Emmelie de Forrest, who won the contest last year. 'We are unity and we are unstoppable.' Glittering prize: Conchita Wurst representing Austria performs the song Rise Like A Phoenix after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014

Dr Dre - Hip Hop's first Billionaire ( Celebrates With Tyrese )

Dr. Dre is poised to become the rap world’s first bling-ionaire. The music mogul all but confirmed Friday that Apple was buying Beats Electronics, the company he co-owns that makes the good doctor’s wildly popular Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, for $3.2 billion. And he did so Compton-style. “First billionaire in hip hop, right here on the motherf-----g west coast,” Dre is heard saying in a NSFW video that appeared on R&B singer Tyrese Gibson’s Facebook page. Meanwhile, Reuters reported that the iPhone maker was close to inking a deal with Dre that would make the 49-year-old former chief of Death Row records hip hop’s highest roller.Dr. Dre is in for a massive windfall if Apple buys Beats Music. But will the rumored deal actually make him hip hop's first billionaire as he has claimed? That's not so clear. The music mogul and Beats co-founder said as much in a video posted on Facebook that went viral Friday. "The first billionaire in hip hop, right here from the motherf----n West Coast," Dre says. But estimating Dre's net worth is difficult, given that Beats is privately held. Beats did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Dr. Dre's headphones and audio streaming company, Beats, appears close to being acquired by Apple for $3.2 billion. The Beats deal would be the biggest purchase in Apple's history and likely make Dr. Dre rap's first billionaire.

Strong earthquake of 6.4 magnitude hits Mexico

An earthquake of 6.4 magnitude has shaken parts of Mexico, causing buildings to sway in the capital. The US Geological Survey said it was centred near the town of Tecpan de Galeana in southern Guerrero state, about 190 miles (300km) south-west of Mexico City. It was also felt in the resort city of Acapulco, the Associated Press says. There are no reports of any damage or injuries but frightened office workers ran into the streets in the capital. Engineer Daniel Rodriguez, 55, fled his second floor office. "At first it felt like a jolt and then it started to move," he told AFP news agency.a strong earthquake rattled Mexico’s southern Pacific coast on Thursday, causing panic as far away as the capital, but little damage was reported. The temblor had a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 and an epicenter near Tecpan de Galeana in Guerrero state, about 60 miles northwest of Acapulco, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It struck at noon and was 15 miles deep.\ Some roofs collapsed near the epicenter, but there were no immediate reports of serious injuries, government officials said.A 6.4 magnitude earthquake shook Mexico City on Thursday, rattling buildings and prompting office evacuations, but there were no immediate reports of damage. The U.S. Geological Survey put the quake epicenter in the western Mexican state of Guerrero at a depth of 14.9 miles just inland from the Pacific Coast. No tsunami alert was triggered. The USGS initially said the quake was of 6.8 magnitude, and had reported it was much shallower. A quake of that magnitude can cause damage to buildings, especially poorly designed structures.

New 'Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes' Trailer Shows All Out War

20th Century Fox dropped a full trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes this morning, a solid five months since the initial teaser. I wrote a lot about Fox’s relative patience in terms of its X-Men: Days of Future Past campaign, and the same goes for this one. Aside from snippets from interviews and teases in various Summer Movie Previews, there wasn’t much known about the plot. What we now do know is that if the first film was a loose variation on Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, this one is closer to Battle for the Planet of the Apes. What’s interesting, especially for a franchise that already has a third entry marked for release July 29, 2016, is that this second film seems to have skipped a film in the larger story.20th Century Fox just released the second trailer for "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes." The film is the sequel to 2011's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" which starred James Franco. While Franco will appear via flashback video in this film, Gary Oldman and Jason Clarke ("Zero Dark Thirty") will star along with Keri Russell ("The Americans") continuing the story of Caesar, the ape from the first installment. Here's the synopsis from Fox: "A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species." In the new trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, our good pal Caesar is still working on his language development, and also working on that thing where he's amassed an army of his own kind that will end up ridding the planet of humans once and for all. At least, that's where we all assume this thing is headed. What with the "Planet of the Apes" in the title and all. For now, though, it looks like Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and their band of simian-flu survivors are going to try their hand at making peace with the apes. Not if Gary Oldman has anything to say about it, of course.

Real Valladolid vs Real Madrid 1-1 ~ All Goals & Highlights

Good evening and welcome to Sports Mole's live commentary of the La Liga clash between Real Valladolid and Real Madrid at the Jose Zorrilla. The home side enter the match off the back of a 1-0 win over Espanyol at the weekend and another three points this evening would move them out of the relegation zone. Madrid, meanwhile, know that victory would move them above Barcelona into second and to within two points of leaders Atletico Madrid. Humberto Osorio's late equaliser lifted Real Valladolid out of the relegation zone and severely dented Real Madrid's title hopes in a 1-1 draw at the Jose Zorrilla stadium. Sergio Ramos lifted Los Blancos fans, who watched Cristiano Ronaldo go off injured early on, by hitting a superb free-kick to give the visitors the lead after they had to weather a storm from the hosts. But just as they looked to have tied up the points, Osorio headed home in the closing stages to give his side a lifeline and leave Madrid almost needing a miracle to win the title.Real Madrid's treble ambitions appear to be over as a late equaliser for struggling Real Valladolid dented their hopes of winning the Spanish title. Defender Sergio Ramos put Madrid ahead with a powerful 25-yard free-kick into the roof of the home net. But without injured duo Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, who was substituted after nine minutes, the visitors lacked genuine attacking threat.

Manchester City vs Aston Villa 2014 (4-0) ~ All Goals & Highlights

That’s the way to do it. No alarms and no surprises greeted Manchester City last night. It was tense, for a while, but the best team won — the match and, most probably, the league. A point against West Ham United on Sunday will do it, given the plus-13 goal difference advantage over Liverpool. The fourth goal of the game was Manchester City’s 100th in the Barclays Premier League this season, an amazing achievement no matter the budget. There are plenty of teams who have spent a few quid winning the title but, if the finale goes according to plan, few will have done it with as much style as City. They need four goals to overtake the 103 scored by Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea team in 2009-10.MANCHESTER CITY 2-0 ASTON VILLA: 90 minutes stand between Manchester City and their second Premier League title after Edin Dzeko hit a decisive second-half double before Stevan Jovetic scored late on to send Manuel Pellegrini's team to the top of the table. City are certain to reclaim the championship they surrendered to Manchester United last season when they play West Ham at home on the final game of the season. They lead nearest rivals Liverpool by two points, who now need a miracle to realise their dream of becoming champions for the first time in 24 years. Meanwhile Sunderland secured top flight safety after defeating West Brom 2-0.Manchester City's Edin Dzeko scores his second goal during the Premier League game with Aston Villa. Photograph: Michael Regan/Getty Images For Manchester City everything is now in place. Manuel Pellegrini's team took their time before showing why they are champions-in-waiting, but once they shed their inhibitions they quickly rattled off the goals that took them to 100 for the season and made the arithmetic simple. Anything but a defeat in their final game and City will have sealed their second title in three seasons.

'Shovel fight girl' Miranda Fugate alive and well

A fake story stating that the 16-year-old Miranda Fugate Lockwood has succumbed to injuries has gone viral. A Vine video showing a girl hitting another girl in the head with shovel has gone viral on Internet. The video garnered over 530,000 tweets and 79,000 revines. Several Twitter users said that the video was funny, but soon a report on the fake death of the girl hit by the shovel went viral.A website Huzlers.com reported that the girl named 'Miranda Fugate Lockwood' has died after suffering head injuries. But apparently, the girl's actual name is Miranda Lynn Fugate.A fictitious article claiming that a US teen died after being hit on the head with a shovel has been revealed as a hoax after the girl in question tweeted “I'm not dead.. Idk why there's rumors [sic] saying I am.” A video of Miranda Fugate scrapping with a fellow Ohio-teen identified as Emily Powers went viral earlier this week after an eight minute video was uploaded online. The clip has since been remixed various times with the footage spliced together with everything from Mortal Kombat sound effects to clips from children’s TV show Dora the Explorer.Huzlers, which is a satire website, in their report stated that at first the injury seemed to be minor, but later Miranda temporarily lost one ear's hearing. Doctors said that Miranda died of severe head trauma, according to Huzlers. "She was a good girl. I mean, she was sort of a bully, but she did not deserve to get molly whooped like that, especially with a shovel right to the head". Emily will not be charged with second degree murder, but instead man-slaughter as she was only protecting herself, and succeeded," Miranda's mother said, according to Huzlers. However, the story turns out to be hoax as Miranda is alive. The person who uploaded the first video of shovel fight has posted another video clarifying that Miranda is alive.

Mark Jackson fired by Warriors

Last year, it was George Karl, Lionel Hollins and Vinny Del Negro. This year, so far, it is Mark Jackson. Continuing an N.B.A. trend of teams firing coaches after successful, 50-victory seasons, the Golden State Warriors fired Jackson on Tuesday, ending a three-year tenure in which the Warriors vaulted into one of the better, more entertaining teams in the league. The move, based more on personality conflicts than on-court coaching acumen, creates an opening to lead a young, rising team led by the All-Star guard Stephen Curry and a franchise with a voracious fan base and plans to move to a new arena across the bay in San Francisco in 2018.The Warriors fired coach Mark Jackson on Tuesday, just three days after being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.Jackson, 49, was hired by the Warriors in 2011 after a 17-year playing career and seven-year broadcasting career. He had one year remaining on his contract. “Mark Jackson has had a big impact on the improvement of our team and the success that we’ve had over the last couple of years,” Golden State owner Joe Lacob said in a statement. The Golden State Warriors have fired Mark Jackson, ending the franchise's most successful coaching tenure in the past two decades but also one filled with drama and distractions. General manager Bob Myers thanked Jackson in a statement Tuesday for "his role in helping elevate this team into a better position than it was when he arrived nearly 36 months ago." Myers said it was a difficult decision but that the Warriors "simply feel it's best to move in a different direction at this time." The Golden State Warriors fired coach Mark Jackson Tuesday, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition on anonymity because the firing had not been made public. The Warriors were 51-31 this season and that was the best regular season record since the 1991-92, when they were 55-27. That was also the last time the Warriors reached the playoffs two consecutive seasons.

Met Gala 2014: Red carpet trend report, from Beyonce’s lace and Rihanna

It’s the Oscars of fashion, so they say, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art annual gala fundraiser. For the Costume Institute’s summer exhibition “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” about America’s own British-born couturier (at his career height in the post-War mid-century with clients such as Mrs. William Randolph Hearst and heiress Millicent Rogers), all of New York, celebrity, model and designer boldface turned out in their finery. The edict? For the $25,000-a-plate affair, it was a dress code of white tie for gentlemen, presumably because of British-born event doyenne (oh and Vogue editor-in-chief and Conde Nast creative director) Anna Wintour’s Downton Abbey fantasy of liveried foot soldiers at every turn. If she ever had a cameo the show, you just know she’d be in cahoots with Thomas. Accordingly, London-based Turkish-Canadian designer Erdem (Moraglioglu) instagrammed a photo of himself getting ready in Gieves & Hawkes white tie, ever the accommodating Canuck. If there is one night of the year when you can be sure that the fashion won't disappoint, it's the Met Gala. And this year was one for the books. Yesterday evening the biggest designers, editors and celebrities came together to deliver some truly spectacular ensembles. Blake Lively literally stole the show in a curve-hugging Gucci number, Victoria Beckham proved, once again, that she is a fashion force to be reckoned with and Beyoncé was, well, just being Bey.Lupita Nyong'o has quickly become not only the sweetheart of the fashion world, but of the whole world. Everyone has waited with bated breath to see what amazing gown she shows up in on the red carpet next. So it's no surprise that she knocked it out of the park again for the 2014 Met Gala in a jaw-dropping Prada dress. What is a surprise is how literal the starlet took the "decorations" aspect of the theme, sporting a headband and feather embellishments. What do you think of Lupita's bold look? The Met Gala is arguably the biggest night in fashion. Everyone who is everyone makes an appearance, but just because the most talented designers, models and celebrities come together on one red carpet, that doesn't always mean the fashion is fantastic. In fact, many stars tripped up, landing themselves a spot on the worst-dressed list. Lena Dunham wore an unflattering strapless dress, Kate Upton looked like she raided a costume store to find her gown and Lupita's ensemble just confused the sh*t of out us.

Crystal Palace 3-3 Liverpool: Brendan Rodgers concedes title

At first, Luis Suarez almost appeared to be smiling, in a bemused, rueful, funny-old-game sort of way. And then the final whistle blew and reality hit him. He dissolved in tears and pulled his shirt over his head until nothing of the man was visible. And that is how he stayed, all the way to the tunnel. Steven Gerrard pushed away the prying eye of the television cameras. The pain was too personal. Now they know how AC Milan must have felt in 2005, or West Ham United at the end of the FA Cup final a year later. As of 79 minutes, Liverpool were three goals ahead of Crystal Palace, three points ahead of Manchester City and had cut their rivals’ goal-difference advantage to six. Now they could wait in the hope those pale blue eyes would blink.Brendan Rodgers's men were three goals up midway through the second half but Damien Delaney and two goals from Dwight Gayle handed Manchester City a huge advantage Brendan Rodgers's men knew that only a victory would suffice at Selhurst Park after City, who now sit one point behind the Reds with a game in hand, edged to a seemingly crucial 3-2 triumph at Everton on Saturday. That result left Manuel Pellegrini's men, who wrap up their season with home games versus Aston Villa and West Ham, at the summit thanks to goal difference. For large parts of the game against Palace, it appeared merely a question of how much Liverpool could eat into City's nine-goal lead after Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez added to Joe Allen's first league goal for the club. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says "there is no doubt Manchester City will go on and win" the Premier League title, after his side's 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace. "Criminal" defending allowed Palace to come back from 3-0 down with just 11 minutes remaining thanks to Damien Delaney's goal and two from Dwight Gayle. Although a point took Liverpool back to the top of the table with one match to play, City have a game in hand.Whether or not he believes it, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says there's another twist to come in the title race and if Liverpool are to capitalise on any prospective Manchester City slip-ups against Aston Villa or West Ham and win their first championship since 1990, they must successfully negotiate what could be a tricky hurdle at Selhurst Park tonight.

Elena Baltacha after she dies aged 30 from liver cancer

Andy Murray was among a number of players to stand on court and pay tribute to the former British No1 Elena Baltacha with a minute's silence at the Mutua Madrid Open on Monday. Baltacha died of liver cancer early on Sunday morning aged 30. Several high-profile players, including Murray and his brother Jamie, observed the tribute on Centre Court at the Manolo Santana Stadium before the start of the tournament's night session. Baltacha was diagnosed with the illness in January, two months after retiring from tennis and only weeks after she married her long-time coach, Nino Severino. "We are heartbroken beyond words at the loss of our beautiful, talented and determined Bally," Severino said in a statement released by her family. When yet another attempt to turn around British tennis was launched almost 10 years ago, the buzz phrase was "we need warriors". In Elena Baltacha, they already had one. She might have been a kind, friendly and irrepressibly positive 'warrior', but Baltacha's aggressive baseline style reflected an inner steel that pulled her through far more serious matters than tennis matches. A conversation in 2012, when she was 28, summed up her spirit. It began with an expectation that she would announce her retirement and ended with talk of her reclaiming the British number one spot. The thoughts of the tennis family are full of grief, sadness and support after learning of the passing of Elena Baltacha on Sunday morning. The former British No. 1 died of liver cancer, aged 30. Affectionately known as ‘Bally’, the Scot had retired from the WTA Tour in November 2013, before being diagnosed with cancer in January, just a few weeks after her wedding to coach, Nino Severino. During her career, Baltacha reached a career-high World No. 49 in the WTA Rankings and won 11 singles titles. Aged 19, she was diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis, a chronic liver condition that compromises the immune system.Elena Baltacha, the former British No1, has died from liver cancer at the age of 30. Tributes for Baltacha flooded in on Monday, the former top-50 player described as "one of the shining lights of British women's tennis of recent generations". Baltacha, who was diagnosed at the age of 19 with primary sclerosing cholangitis – a chronic liver condition that compromises the immune system – died peacefully in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to a statement released by her family. WWE Extreme Rules 2014 Full Show Predictions [WWE 2K14 SIMULATION]

WWE returned last night with the first major event since Daniel Bryan's sensational WrestleMania triumph one month ago. Here we round up the results and key storyline developments. The pre-show “weeLC” Match: El Torito defeated Hornswoggle. This could have been on the main card, it was that good. Surprisingly good, even. A number of tables were destroyed and a few ladders were used, mainly due to interferences from Los Matadores and 3MB. El Torito delivered a springboard senton through a miniature table on Hornswoggle for the win. 1. Cesaro defeated Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger (Elimination match). Swagger was the first to be eliminated after receiving a Five Star Frog Splash from Van Dam. Cesaro then picked up the win after a Neutralizer onto a trash can to Van Dam. 2. Alexander Rusev defeated R-Truth (two-on-one handicap match). Xavier Woods didn't really have a huge part to play in this match so the “handicap” aspect of the bout was never really in play. Rusev won by submission with The Accolade, taking his winning streak even further.Outside of WrestleMania last month, I thought Extreme Rules was the best WWE pay-per-view in quite some time. While there have been some good matches here and there on WWE pay-per-views lately, the events from top to bottom left a lot to be desired. However, that was not the case Sunday night at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J. I thought the card delivered overall and it made for an enjoyable show.Daniel Bryan put his WWE World Heavyweight title on the line against Kane at Extreme Rules, and things quickly got out of hand. Bryan and Kane took the fight backstage at the Izod Center, where Bryan knocked out the Big Red Machine with a crowbar. The match had to end in the ring to be official, so in order to get Kane back to the ring, Bryan loaded him on a forklift and drove him to the ring himself.

Real Madrid 2:2 Valencia All Goals & Highlights

Cristiano Ronaldo's incredible late acrobatic strike helped keep Real Madrid's bid for the treble alive. Valencia seemed set to take all three points from the Santiago Bernabeu but the Ballon d'Or winner rescued his side once again, swivelling his body magnificently to convert Angel di Maria's cross. The inspired goalkeeping of Diego Alves had kept Ronaldo at bay for almost the entire game, but the Portugal striker had the last laugh.Cristiano Ronaldo's incredible late acrobatic strike helped keep Real Madrid's bid for the treble alive. Valencia seemed set to take all three points from the Santiago Bernabeu but the Ballon d'Or winner rescued his side once again, swiveling his body magnificently to convert Angel di Maria's cross. The inspired goalkeeping of Diego Alves had kept Ronaldo at bay for almost the entire game, but the Portugal striker had the last laugh, volleying home with the back of his heel to score his 50th goal of the season.Real Madrid failed to take full advantage of slip-ups by the leaders Atlético Madrid and Barcelona when they needed an acrobatic Cristiano Ronaldo volley in stoppage time to rescue a 2-2 home draw with Valencia. A Real win would have put them level on 85 points with second-placed Barça, who drew 2-2 at Getafe on Saturday, with a game in hand but they stayed third on 83 points with three games left. Atlético, who like Barcelona have two matches remaining including the meeting between the teams at the Camp Nou on the final day of the season, are top on 88 points after they lost 2-0 at Levante earlier on Sunday. Valencia took a surprise lead in the 44th minute at the Bernabéu when Jérémy Mathieu nodded in a Dani Parejo corner before Sergio Ramos levelled with another header in the 59th.

Manchester United 0-1 Sunderland: Highlights

David Moyes' spirit lingered at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as Sunderland became the latest club to break a long-standing record and claim their first league victory at Manchester United in 46 years. Fulham And Cardiff City Relegated From Premier League (PICTURES) Sebastian Larsson's first half-volley from Connor Wickham's cross in the was enough on another uninspiring afternoon from the dethroned champions, whose interim manager, Ryan Giggs, suffered his first defeat in charge. Sunderland's win has condemned Cardiff City and Fulham to relegation, after they lost 3-0 and 4-1 at Newcastle United and Stoke City. The Black Cats are not assured of safety, but with two games remaining should be confident of consolidating their Premier League status ahead of next weekend's final round of fixtures. This was a return to the bad old days under David Moyes. Plodding, impotent and characterless: these type of pejoratives were supposedly banished in Ryan Giggs's brave new Manchester United world. Instead, the old quality deficit again glared. Only when Danny Welbeck was introduced in the closing part of the contest did the champions regain some kind of potency via his willingness to take the fight to Sunderland.Sunderland moved within touching distance of Premier League survival with a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford to halt Manchester United’s most temporary of revivals under the charge of Ryan Giggs. For United it was more of what has been seen for much of the season under David Moyes rather than the improvement witnessed in last week’s demolition of Norwich and hopes for a quick return to the glory days of which Giggs was such a big part on the pitch. A lackluster performance saw a properly rejuvenated Sunderland get the only goal through a fine Sebastian Larsson volley on the half-hour mark. The win could have been made far more comfortable had efforts from Emanuele Giaccherini and Fabio Borini been a couple of inches either way and found the net rather than the woodwork. But with United spurning what precious few chances they did create in the second half, Sunderland were able to hold on without undue drama for another massive three points.

Everton vs Manchester City 2-3 All Goals and Highlights 03-05 2014

They played like a team that, barring something extraordinary, can now be thought of as champions-in-waiting. Manchester City recovered from the early setback of Ross Barkley's stunning goal. They lost Sergio Agüero to injury and – classic City – they made life unnecessarily difficult for themselves in the final stages. Yet Manuel Pellegrini's side held out and the sums now are simple. Two more wins will return the Premier League trophy to their side of Manchester. They came so close to making a pig's ear of it against QPR on the final day two seasons ago that their supporters should not get overly presumptuous just yet. All the same, Aston Villa and West Ham should be obliging opponents for a team that has just ended Liverpool's 27-day spell on top of the league.Edin Dzeko scored twice to help Manchester City to a difficult 3-2 win against top-four chasers Everton as Manuel Pellegrini's side head to the top the of Premier League. Ross Barkley opened the scoring with a brilliant strike from 25-yards out after 10 minutes, but City were soon back in it after Sergio Aguero rifled the away side level. Minutes after scoring, Aguero was forced off with injury but his strike partner Dzeko filled his shoes admirably with two goals either side of half-time.nchester City will win the Premier League title if they win on the final day of the season, but Everton certainly didn't make their day easy on Saturday. Ross Barkley scored one of the best goals of the season to kick the match off, but City fought back with three goals of their own, then held off a late Everton charge to win 3-2.Manchester City took a significant step towards claiming the Premier League title as they returned to the top of the table on goal difference with victory at Everton. Liverpool were looking to their neighbours to do them a favour and beat City - and their hopes were briefly raised when Ross Barkley's spectacular early strike put Everton ahead. So there is no curse and the bogey ground does not exist. Only once had Manchester City won at Goodison Park in their previous 16 attempts and this was supposedly the arena in which their championship challenge might falter. But talents such as Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri are no respecters of mystical old English traditions. Nor is a club that has seen more than £1billion lavished upon it since 2008. City forged a new reality at Goodison Park as the season that has ebbed and flowed like never before took what must surely be its final twist. Manchester City are champions elect. True, it wasn’t easy. In the end they stumbled across the line, hanging on for a 3-2 win. And Everton, who finally relinquished the struggle for Champions League football, never faltered in their efforts.

Rockets vs. Trail Blazers results, NBA playoffs 2014

mian Lillard drained a game-winning three with 0.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and the Portland Trail Blazers eliminated the Houston Rockets with a 98-99 victory. Chandler Parsons gave the Rockets a two-point lead with a putback, but Lillard responded with a huge shot out of an inbounds play. Here's the the series-sealing shot from Lillard in GIF form Damian Lillard’s swagger is so deep that you might drown in it if you aren’t careful. The Portland Trail Blazers’ All-Star point guard hit that three-pointer at very end of regulation with his team down two points at home against the Houston Rockets. That’s called a game-winner and a series-clincher. Moments earlier, Chandler Parsons had given the Rockets a 98-96 lead with his own awesome put-back. That left 0.9 seconds, and the Blazers had the ball on a midcourt inbound.

SpiderMan 2 Clevver Review - The Amazing SpiderMan 2

Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is one of Hollywood’s summer big budget movies. It cost $250 million to make and another $150 million to market around the world. Sony Pictures hopes its stunning special effects will bring in the money. But it is Spiderman's humanity and idealism that speak to people all over the world. Marc Webb’s 3D sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2, starts as Peter Parker, the young man under the Spiderman suit, is graduating from high school and preparing to take on the world. The film dazzles with its special effects, but filmmaker Marc Webb says the superhero's optimism and youthfulness are the biggest draw for young people. “Which is kind of a magical thing because we are in a world that is divided by borders, by religion, by politics and these characters, the characters that everybody can find something in, can penetrate people in a very special way as we travelled the world," said Webb.

Protests mark May Day around the world

MOSCOW — Tens of thousands of Russians marched through Red Square on Thursday as part of May Day celebrations in the first such display of Soviet-era-like ceremony since 1991 — the year the communist Soviet Union dissolved. "For the first time, stages will be filled, and 5,000 (labor) veterans will stand on the tribunes of Red Square," Sergei Chernov, chairman of the Moscow Labor Union Federation, was quoted by ITAR-Tass as saying, ahead of the march, which is being seen as part of President Vladimir Putin's efforts to stoke patriotic feelings following Russia's annexation of Crimea. As many as 2 million people were expected to be on hand for the event organized by Russian labor unions, which are mostly loyal to the Kremlin. In the end, about 100,000 people participated in the celebration, some holding signs saying: "Let's go to Crimea for vacation" and "Putin is right." Russian flags fluttered through the crowd.Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets around the world to mark International Labour Day, including in Turkey, Hong Kong, Moscow and Jakarta. In Istanbul, police dispersed on Thursday hundreds of protesters who tried to defy a ban on demonstrations on the city's Taksim Square on the anniversary of clashes that prompted a nationwide protest movement. The square has been the scene of protests that have dogged the government for months. After giving a final warning, hundreds of riot police backed up by water-cannon moved in on protesters in the Besiktas district as they tried to breach the barricades leading up to the symbolic square, an AFP reporter said on Thursday.Thousands of activists are attending a May Day rally in honour of veteran political campaigner Tony Benn and rail union leader Bob Crow who died within days of each other last month. The traditional May Day event in London, which celebrates workers' achievements, will honour the two men, who died within a few days of each other earlier this year. It’s May 1! Hooray! But what even is May Day, and why should we be excited? Well I’ll tell you why… What is May Day? The first day of May, or Beltane, marks the start of ‘the season of warmth and light’. That’s summer to you and me. What makes May 1 so special? Today is the mid-point between two seasons – spring and summer. Another important mid-point is November 1 – between autumn and winter. But no one really cares because winter is rubbish.
